Last Thursday, I had An Adventure: I took a ride on the Delhi Metro! Wheee! It was a totally pleasant and un-brrrrifying* experience but what made it thrilling was the destination. No, no – NOT the terminal stop along the Yellow Line! – but my first ever visit to a certified BiblioCave.

[*I prefer solitude to crowds, so ANY excursion into the Real World is potentially brrrrrifying]

Not just any BiblioCave, but THE BiblioCave. The one belonging to and maintained by my two newest buds, Nitin Goel and Nandini Swaminathan. (see photograph below)

If I appear to be vertically challenged, please know that *I* am of normal height. It’s those other two on either side of me who are certified (but very friendly) giants.

IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT NITIN and NANDINI:

1. They created Project Bibliotherapy (scroll down).

2. They believe in The Power Of Reading the way that other people believe in Higher Mathematics or The Beatles.

3. They are H2G2 fanatics of the best sort.

4. We met at the Bangalore Lit Fest and bonded forever.

And! On Saturday, March 23rd we’re going to be together again, at KUNZUM BOOKSHOP, meeting other fanatics … uhh … readers. And perhaps we’ll talk a bit about my two recent books, TAXI and STOLEN HOURS.

ABOUT PROJECT BIBLIOTHERAPY:

✨ Nearly 4 years ago, on Day One of the lockdown in 2020, a bibliophile started Project Bibliotherapy. He was joined by another bibliophile in 2022.

📚 What began as a 'sanity project' has evolved into a registered company and a full-time venture for us.

📚 Over the past 4 years, we've done a ton of research into what attracts and engages readers and crafted an entire Reading Program.

✨ We officially launched it in January, and are truly grateful to all of our early supporters and Readers. For all of them, their year reading with us began on Jan 1, 2024 and is going on ever since.

🌟So far we've set up pop-ups in 3 cities, worked with bookstores, collaborated with Literature festivals, conducted workshops, created 4 zines and hosted tons of events.

🌟 We have also been featured in The New Indian Express and Midday, and encouraged and endorsed by some of the best authors and publishers.

💜 Our Readers made all of this possible so we're celebrating this milestone and ALL of you at @kunzum Jor Bagh.
