There are bunnies in the neighbourhood.
Lots of them.
They’re not especially afraid of humans.
They hop away of course, when they see us,
But in a grudging, half-hearted way.
As if to say, “Really? You want me to move
Out of your way? Seriously?” Then they’re off.
This one is an Eastern Cottontail, according to
Auntie Google.
It appears to be looking at the daisy in front of it.
But a bunny’s eyes are on either side of its head.
It does not see stereoscopically.
So it’s probably looking at me,
Not at the daisy.
I take its picture anyway.
Because I find its pose
Unbearably
Cute.

Luminous! Reminds me of Beatrix Potter!
Thank you! Bunnies are my totem animal. I love them so much! We have a lot around here too.
